VamosA has a new Community Manager

Sophia Wood joined the VamosA team with the mission of connecting young people to professional and educational opportunities in Latin America. She leads by example, helping inspire entrepreneurs, students, and young professionals to live and work in Latin America, as she makes plans to return to Santiago, Chile, a city she once called home for over a year.

A recent graduate of Georgetown University, Sophia is excited to use her newly acquired skills in digital marketing to leverage a background in international research and communications to create smart, pithy, and engaging stories to share with partners and participants. She is strongly committed to fostering cross-cultural partnerships, having served as liaison between local communities and conservationists in Fiji, and as International Relations Coordinator for a nonprofit startup in Chile. Sophia is also an avid Latin dancer and can often be found practicing with her salsa team on Saturday nights.
